Connect from Mac OS X 10.5 to our PPTP VPN

  1. Click your Apple Menu located in the upper left corner
  2. Click System Preferences
  3. Inside your System Preferences window, click Network
  4. Inside your Network window, click the Lock then enter your password.
  5. Click + and add the new connection.
  6. Inside the next prompt, for Interface: select VPN
  7. Inside VPN Type:, choose PPTP
  8. for your Service Name: field, enter SMR
  9. Click Create
  10. Inside Server Address: enter your perferred server
  11. Inside Account Name: enter your username
  12. Verify Encryption: is set on Automatic (128 or 40 bit)
  13. Click Authentication Settings
  14. Inside Password: enter your password
  15. Click Ok
  16. Click on the Advanced button
  17. Select Send all traffic over VPN Connection
  18. Finally click Connect
